Gillard - first female PM in Australia

This is crazy, one day or so and suddenly Australia has its first new PM.
Im not so political myself, but i feel like writing something down here. You know, just in case I lost my long term memory, then I can start reading my blog to refresh what big things had happened. LOL.

Anyway, the news has creates quite a stir around the world, which is easy to understand. This has only happen once in the history of Australia, for the labor party specifically.
The Age describes it in more detail:

"THE party-room putsch that replaced Kevin Rudd with Julia Gillard as Prime Minister has made news bulletins around the world, with America's CNN broadcasting her first press conference live."

I like how Rudd decided to give his public conference for the last time with his family behind, and how he can get so emotional. Showing his soft side? Anyway, lets hope the new PM can get us to a better place, not that am saying Rudd is better or anything. I really wish I got my residency visa really soon, so I can take part on the next vote as an Australian. =)

In short, quick link to show a poll vote about which PM you prefer ~ happy politics

daddy birth day

Yes, today is my dad's bday..
and I talked to him over the phone right at 12o'clock in my home back there,
which is 3am here in Australia..
imagine how sleepy I am..?

Since its his *ppeeepp-privacy* birthday,
he might want to do something different he said..
there will be no other presents that he want besides his kids going back to Indo,
for good..
Geez, I always feels guilty when he said stuff like that..
and with this "loving tone" that he rarely use,
and his "tired breath taking voices" that you can only hear over the phone,
plus his "supportive but im tired here" kind of advices..
seriously, i am full of guilts =(
*if only it lasts for forever

I take some time, and now I am all content and determined..
I know what Im doing,
and I will keep on doing it..
to chase my dream..
there will be a time where I will be needed back there,
i know,
but I will all be ready to do so at that time also,
and plus,
you never know what will happen in the future..

anyway,
happy bday from your baby girl,
and l.o.v.e U always daddy

Try to find a HOME not a HOUSE

Oh My,
its 18th of June already,
means I got 12 days only to pack and move to city..

the problem?
I dont know where to go just yet..
A friend of mine told me that finding apartment is an "easy but hard" to get kind of thing..
When you got enough time, you'll be picky,
but you have to remember,
at the end, you might run out of time,
and end up having a so-so apartment only..
which is not what I want..

my defense?
i want to live in a place where i can feel like being home,
not just some random place to live..
i want a home, not house..
... i wish I know where I'll be moving to..

So,
today will be another inspectionSS day,
and I wanted to be effective..
this time the apartment will be all around South Bank,
and yes I know, there will be hell lot of Indonesians there..
* which I dont know suppose to be good or bad *

and as always,
this one is my favorite so far..
I know this apartment is still new,
and thats what I like about it =)
hope this one will suits us best *finger cross*

Lady dior? Burberry? Balenciaga?

Look at these...
what a joy of being a woman..
Will put it all on my wish list..
zzzzz...

Oh wow... Lets start with this one..
I'd love to have a "Lady Dior" bag. It's so chic, isnt it?
and.. Do you know that the bag is actually designed for Lady Diana...
this explains all of the elegance and "lady looking" type of bag ever..

What about this one?
See how handy this two bags will be?
Well, i like the first one for long time already,
but Im thinking maybe just to get the second one,
since it is a lot simpler and handy
plus.. the money will do for me =)

and this one..
maybe im a victim of fashion trends..
a lot of my friends back then in Indonesia is using this bag atm..
i think i should as well get one,
with a colour that can be eye catching or classy?

Just For ~ f u n

Quite some time ago,
my BF has finally finished his web prototype,
and the boys has decided to move on to the final steps..
finishing touch..

Apparently the client,
Richard,
wanted them to change the pictures with new ones,
and asking for their helps..
aaaa this uni project really has no clear boundaries..

but, luckily,
Edgar was more than happy to do the photo shoot,
and he also got one of his professional friend to do it together..
guess whose the models?

yup yup yup,
me, Erick, Lian, Dilshan, basically everyone..
just for fun, i wanted to put the pictures here..
Good Job Edgar,
and also James - if im not wrong (*James Eloc)

anyway, here is the website Melbourne Driving School
and I got my FULL Australian License with them as well..
=D

lets go green - sliding walls

I adore the angel spirits of many green activist since I moved to Melbourne..
And for me,
really this one is quite unique - or crazy, maybe?

Gary Chang, an award-winning Hong Kong architect has managed to squeeze 24 rooms which includes home cinema and even 'spa'- into 344 square feet of apartment space
He converted the tiny space apartment into this marvelous 24 different rooms apartment using sliding walls..

Gary Chang has renovated the flat four times, converting the $45,000 (US $) property into luxury home worth around $1.3 million (US $). Through his book titled “My 32m2 Apartment: A 30-Year Transformation” he wanted to influence new housing architechture and offer a new vision for better usage of limited spaces..
just another way to get "green - er"

bravo Chang~

2010 world cup - licious

Oh my,
Today is Friday,
and this is going to be a long long weekend..
my exam on the 22nd is coming,
thesis due in weeks,
and queens bday is this Monday..
so, long weekend vs pressure..

anyway, another thing that make it special..
the FIFA World Cup 2010 - South Africa...!!
and tonight going to be the opening..
I started to get excited somehow..

how nice it is to have people all around the world,
gathered together to celebrate worlds biggest soccer event..
no racism, no harm ~ enough said! haha

so...?
thought about the world cup from my point of view?
as I know, once World Cup phenomena is here, everyone is getting crazy..
no matter where the World Cup being held,
big big number of girlfriends (even wives?) all over the world have to face the so-called challenges all over again..
*maybe not for me since as i know, Erick is not so into soccer,
or at least not that freak?
but is World Cup,
who knows what might happen, rite?*

i've heard many stories where boys become a bat..
up all night,
sleep all day long,
no more nice conversations,
no more romantic dinner,
and more and more..
extreme cases, you can feel like ur having a halfly dead BF..

the point?
lets have some bit of fun,
what can girls do to get their boys back? =)

1. be pro-active - be seductive
hahaha, im writing it down while feeling offended myself..
but it can be nice right? just try to give him some sweet surprises, dress nicely,
do your hair, put some heels on *even though ur home*
get his attention and priority back to you..

2. watch with him
i think this is what many girls has actually tried most of the time..
just remember if ur not a big fan of any of this sport,
at least try to understand what is really going on,
otherwise you'll be deadly bored, and it feels like you're going to kill ur own soul deep inside there..
PS: be clear towards which team ur bf is supporting, u dont need another fight by laughing out loud when his team is lose or something =D

3. break the TV
none of those help you feel better?
why not trying to break the TV? make him out of reach from the World Cup licious..
dont let him go anywhere near it..
or just sell it..
put it on the charity bin.. LOL
im being crazy here..

4. surprise surprise
buy two tickets to South Africa and watch the match with him..
i bet he'll be deeply in love with you..
and who knows who might get married there?
PS. you need to be prepared being broke for the next couple of months
*even crazier ideas*

5. get over it
im not helping, am i?
just get over it girls.. go have some fun with ur girls..
they are most likely to be on the same boat..
consider it as a one month off?
do some sleep over, girls stuff..
it will surely be fun!

nice post i can come up with today,
i reckon?
*clapping for my very own self*
hahahaha...

anyway, this is a very funny video..
why woman hate World Cup?

confession to make

I got a confession to make,
my BF just got a job and its quite a good one,
even though its going to be a 3months kind of contract only,
the experience that he got,
the facilities,
the money,
etc etc will be priceless..

next,
he inspired me to apply for as many job as i can think of at that day..
and,
i end up having an interview today,
*y a y....*
but,
turns out there were 6persons invited to the interview,
and they will probably need 2 or 3 persons only..
but its all depends..
i think i did quite well with the interview,
and the company is quite a big one..
their partners include JB Hifi, Dick Smith, and many else i can not remember all of them..
and the company called QK...

im scared to tell anyone cause its not clear just yet..
and the manager will call or email us on Monday to see who goes through..
*finger cross* i will get it....
I BELIEVE I WILL

if i really get it,
its going to be my very first career milestone..
and its not permanent,
but 3 shifts per week is quite good for a start isn't it?

anyway, wish me luck guys..

google B E F O R E - U tweet

via design is mine

Google and Twitter, two website that I can not life without at the moment..
But I have not realized the relation between one and another until I saw this pic..
Cute?

iPhone4 - review?

I almost get myself an iphone 3gs just last week, i was really clumsy not to research about when the coming iphone is going to be release.. lucky me i cancelled my plan, and now.. "coming soon to town, iphone 4 this end of the month"
one word: W o W...
Anyway, Im not really confident about giving review into something I dont really use just yet.. Like the phone is not even there.. But I posted this one since my BF whose such a big fans of iPhone keep asking me to do so =) (*he's starting to fall into blogging)

Well, First, the official video from Apple

Facts to note:
1. You can download the OS 4 for your 3g or 3gs iphone, but dont expect too much anymore regarding compatibility and stuff once the 4g coming or something else big coming..

2. iPhone 4 is not an iPhone 4g - have to put a note on that really.. iPhone 4 is an iphone with a new OS (which is OS version 4) that has got new features and capabilities such as Video Calls, Higher Retina Resolution, Foldering, Multitasking, and HD Video Recording

3. When there is a 4g, it means even faster faster faster speed from the telecommunication network and infrastructure (so far Japan has been a pioneer at most time regarding telecommunication technology, and as far as I know, they have only been up to 3.5g)

4. Video Calls has been here for quite some time, then why Apple saying it as something totally new? Before, video calls is not so popular since the technology is not reliable to send such a high quality of pictures and movements, plus not many phones got a dual camera.. when you want to make a video call, you might have to put ur phone away to show ur pics from the back camera or so.. Now, iPhone 4 got a double sided camera that can automatically flip between front and back, quite impressive~

5. Plus a way better resolution just to make it to perfection..

6. Multi tasking and Foldering is my favorite, since it increase effectiveness plus it just makes sense in every way.. =)

7. Bad side? Weird design, a bit shocking but after looking at many different pictures.. it is not actually by any chance is big.. it is actually looking really thin! and with the same weight to iphone 3gs, but smaller packaging..? =)

8. Best part: Improved Battery Life! Now it is almost twice longer the 3gs battery.. lets see!

This is Really Funny - yet Informative;

On the first day God created the dog.
God said,
"Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. I will give you a life span of twenty years."
The dog said,
"That's too long to be barking. Give me ten years and I'll give you back the other ten."
So God agreed.

On the second day God created the monkey.
God said,
"Entertain people, do monkey tricks and make them laugh. I'll give you a twenty-year life span."
The monkey said,
"Monkey tricks for twenty years? I don't think so. Dog gave you back ten, so that's
what I'll do too, okay?"
And God agreed.

On the third day God created the cow.
"You must go to the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves, and give milk to support the farmer. I will give you a life span of sixty years."
The cow said,
"That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. Let me have twenty and I'll give back the other forty."
And God agreed again.

On the fourth day God created man.
God said,
"Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. I'll give you twenty years."
Man said,
"What? Only twenty years? Tell you what, I'll take my twenty, and the forty the cow gave back, and the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back, that makes eighty, okay?"

Okay," said God,
"You've got a deal."

So that is why the first twenty years we eat, sleep, play, and enjoy ourselves; the
next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family; the next ten years we do
monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren; and the last ten years we sit on the
front porch and bark at everyone.

Life has now been explained to you.

Sex and The City 2 - review

I went to the moive tonight,
guess what movie we watched?

YES! SATC2..
its cute how they make it SATC2 as if its a new term happening or something..

Anyway, my very own review of the movie?
I have to admit when the movie ended, all of us was turning around to each other and said it was 'great' , nothing like 'awesome' or something..
One of my friend did laugh really hard at some point in the movie, but i would just discard that since he is not into SATC at all since the very first beginning..

So, my opinion?
You know how when a movie is really happening and people are talking about it over and over.. It makes you dont want to be different.. it somehow makes people not capable enough to say what they really feel inside..
I think the movie is just OK, I also don't think we were ready to admit that the movie was possibly actually is a big disappointment.. Let me say, people had all looked forward to the movie – none of use could ever admit that it was awful in some way... haha

Anyway, o v e r a l l... I still love Carrie, I still adore Charlotte, I still respect Miranda and I still enjoy Samantha..
and I will still continue my watching of the previous series..

apartment hunting : f u n !

one more time, JUNE is here...
it means, one more month before i move to city..
it means, two or three weeks until apartment hunting to begin..

so far, i got an eye of these apartments..
apartment o n e
apartment t w o
apartment t h r e e
apartment f o u r
apartment f i v e

and am not going to put all of their pics..
because i particularly like this one...
not that im close minded towards the others,
and before inspection,
no one ever know what its going to look like really...

but, so far these are my supporting reasons:
1. affordable price
2. location - heart of CBD
3. close to any public transport
4. last, not least - hopefully, nice place

Golden Rules of Life

I got this from my friends in a broadcast message..
and I think its a really good one..
definitely worth a try =)

1. Don’t let someone become a priority in your life, when you are just an option in their life… Relationships work best when they are balanced.

2. Never explain yourself to anyone… Because the person who likes you doesn’t need it, and the person who dislikes you won’t believe it.

3. When you keep saying you are busy, then you are never free. When you keep saying you have no time, then you will never have time. When you keep saying that you will do it tomorrow, then your tomorrow will never come.

4. When we wake up in the morning, we have two simple choices. Go back to sleep and dream, or wake up and chase those dreams. The Choice is yours…

5. We make them cry who care for us. We cry for those who never care for us. And we care for those who will never cry for us. This is the truth of life, it’s strange but true. Once you realize this, it’s never too late to change.

6. Don’t make promise when you are in joy. Don’t reply when you are sad. Don’t take decision when you are angry. Think twice, act twice.

7. Time is like river. You can’t touch the same water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Enjoy every moment of life…

Invitation Letter

I am so excited!
Im so believing that JUNE give me good good LUCK...
I can't stop counting my joy this month, and its only been the first day of JUNE..

1. I managed to stick to my plan regarding healthy life healthy food.. or at least im getting better =)
2. I got all of my quizes mark back, and none of them is below 8 out of 10
3. I get in touch with an old friend, and I really happy about it.. PS. She is getting married, wow...
4. I can tell that Erick, my BF, got his injury recover faster than he thought it will be
5. I am back to enjoy my cooking time again, and I feel that its a good sign since I safe quite a lot of money from it..
6. LAST but DEFINITELY not LEAST, i will be having some fun visitor from Indonesia this mid year.. *it is not fully confirm yet, but it is definitely is not a joke

So, I got to make her an invitation letter for her visa requirement.. She told me to make one for her and send it ASAP, and I wanted to do so.. but I do not know how to make that letter.. Ofcourse I've "google" it, but still it results in big zero.. This is the first time that I actually got disappointed by Google.. I've asked for a sample letter from the travel agent, but they said they dont have one *BULLSHIT*

Anyway, I managed to make one myself.. Im pretty sure I've covered most of the thing that they require to be included.. Here is the check list
1. name of the visa applicant
2. name of the person who invite the applicant
3. address of the person who invite the applicant
4. statement that the applicant will be staying at the person's place who give the invitation
5. statement that the applicant is guarantee not to do anything else forbidden by the visa and immigration law
and I decided to post it here, just in case anyone need it,
and just in case I need it again
