Detox while Menstruating : safe?


So, this is detox day two, and i just realised that its time for my period.
I should have checked my calendar more closely before actually decided to do some detox.
Im such a sloppy girl~
the question is
"Is it wise to detox during the period of your menstruation?"

Well anyway, i dont know if its ok or not to actually detoxing while menstruating,
so again and again, i do some research,
and as there is no certain website that i've been referring to,
i just keep on searching and searching..

and i hate it,
because i got roughly the same amount of information on both pro and cons..
some say that menstruation is the natural detoxing process of your body,
so if you detox while menstruating - it's just a waste of time..
while some say,
detoxing while menstruating actually is recommended,
as your body has try to clean itself,
and ur making it easier..

well, i have decided to continue with my detox program..
as i feel no pain so far, and there is no sign of headache or anything else..
i hope everything goes well

I've been trying to find answers to that question myself and that's super frustrating. I started a detox yesterday that's just supposed to be green tea and water for 3 days, and I haven't been able to find anything to convince me one way or another that this is the best plan. Internet research is just driving me crazy, but it's nice to have stumbled accross someone who has dealt with the same issue. I'm still trying to figure out whether or not this will be something I can finish up as a result.

well detox seems it'd be ok as long as you take an iron supplement. I'm using greens powder detox for dietary supplement and taking an iron supplement which while during menstruation the iron supplements themself help with fatigue. i don't know if that helps but i hope it does. good luck :)

I hadn't had a period in 3 months (no-not pregnant) I started the Acai 14 day detox which I understand is pretty mild and I started my period a day later. I am now on day 6 and still have my period. I feel fine so I am looking at this in a positive light. I think the detox is simply cleansing my body, as it is suppose to. In my mind it is working just fine. If I go another 2 or 3 days and my period hasn't stopped then I will discontinue the detox for a week or two and see what happens.
