Let's Say Good Bye September

Another month has finally passed.. so here it is, one last day before October..
the weather has started to get sunny,
and its time to put some sandals on,
have a lil bit of picnic and everything..

I went to the Shrine of Remambrance in St Kilda rd (*just opposite my apartment, if that's necessary to say),
and the thing is, I has lived here for almost 4years, and I have never put my foot in there..
and here it is, me, planning to stay in Australia for the rest of my life..

Well, anyway, I went there, with a box of frankfurt cocktail sausages, two meat pies, some water and some twiggies..
Erick also bring his iphone, and we're planning to play some frisbee..

and now not to mention, perfect partner to go with..

Most of the time, i always missed my favorite TV show. So, if I wanted to switch to digital, I will buy a set top box with a personal recorder, so I wont need to worry about missing my favorite show anymore..
Owh.. how technology make our life even more wonderful..

So, still deciding between these two set top box,
both has the ability to record the show,
but some has its pros and cons on itself..
one i found from Dick Smith, and another one from Kmart..

Pro's: Easy to use, simple design, good price, work with FAT32 and NTFS
Con's: Remote need to be pointed to the unit, can not record more than one chanel at a time
Price: AUD79

Pro's: Advance functionality, record more than one channel, can pause TV show and record it
Con's: Complicated, a bit expensive, work with FAT32 only
Price: AUD99.95

Permanent Residency of Australia

I dont want to talk about how stress i am atm with the situation of PR application,
mainly because I havent make my mine about how Im going to react regarding this,
and also because I want to focus on the positive, and
because my BF has successfully cheered me up and i dont want to disappoint him..
he also got me this certificate of permanent residency printed out to help me focus on being positive and trust that there's going to be a way..

i put this at the back of my bedroom door, so everynight i will see it and i'll be smiling..
he's so sweet =)

Miss, Ms, Mrs ?

I never really know what's the difference between Miss and Ms..
but i know Mrs is for married woman..
so, I Googled it and read through a lot of Yahoo answers, forums, and many things else (wow, enough with research life eh?)..

i think this link here might concludes everything..

Ms - married/unmarried woman

Ms is used out of courtesy when we do not know the marital status of the woman, or if she prefers the title.

another thing, the way we say it suppose to be different,
and this is new to me, never notice about it at all before,
Ms = /miz/
Miss = /mis/

well, i might say you can use Ms when you're not sure if the person you're addressing to is married or not..
this way, i clear the things on my head

The Due Dates is Coming

Another thing about the end of September is, that my BF need to lodge for his TR or PR, whatever suitable for him atm.. He needed it to be done by September 30, the day when his student visa expired..

So, we decided to do it on our own, without the help if any agent..
This is why we need to be really careful with every document that we have, so that everything goes right, and he can get - the very least - his bridging visa A..

We did this, and everything goes well, besides the fact that we got a lil fight in between.. basically we fight about how we need to translate our document, and certify it, and uploading it again to the eVisa system.. but anyway, everything is sorted out now, and we're quite happy that we got his bridging visa A already..

another important to do list:
organize his parent and family visit

When September Ends

We're almost there, another end of the month..
nope, am not stressing about anything, besides the fact that my lil sis is coming to Melbourne really soon (*which im really excited about),
but September is special,
why? cause it means..
all of the TV series, movies and many other things start to roll again..
so i get to use my internet bandwidth, which so far never been used more than 50% from its limit, effectively..

The first show that im following atm is America Next Top Model..
i envy Tyra Bank, she always do her things in an extraordinary way,

One of my best friend here in Melbourne has just celebrated his graduation last night, and he will soon move to Shanghai to finish his language lesson..
that is why tonight he is going to have a graduation and farewell dinner all together..

I dont know why, but i feel that everything is rolling very fast lately and i feel like im losing control.. i wonder, whats the rush here? we're not losing anything rite?
its not a "forever good bye", its just another "see you" but in a longer time..
besides, we goot technology all over now, we got FB, MSN, BB, or even e-mail to keep us all in touch =(

4 years i guess, and we've been going through all ups and downs for a friendship,
and i think i would say, he's been a GREAT friend to me,

Shopping Temptation - Typo

So, I went to Chadstone anyway yesterday,
but my intention was not to shop, or at least not for myself..
My friend and I went to Chadstone to buy a present for my other friend who will graduate tonight..
The present im referring to is a pair of jeans, to be specific, Ksubi Jeans
and this VIP event might give 15% - 20% at least discount =)

First time we get there,
straight to the shop - General Pants Co
*check the style, the price, and the size
we did check to the other store that might have the same jeans, but apparently they dont sell Ksubi at all..

then here we go,
get some lunch,
walking around,
and end up in Supre since it rarely gives you 20% off on VIP party,
and Cotton On since it gives you 30% off (which is quite big) for new signing up on that day..

as i said before,
nothing interest me in particular,
so i just keep browsing and browsing around,
until i got to the "Typo" section..
i love Typo,
they sell simple, vintage, conceptual stuff (*choose two minimum, for every single product that they sell),
which I like =)
and since in this Typo is located at Cotton On, it means I got to pay 30% less if I sign up,
so I quickly grab the stuff that I want and treat myself a lil pleasure

The flip clock has made my day, as its clean and simple design has been in my list of clock to hunt for in the last two months (*remember, stuff to buy for my new apartment?) This kind of clock is everywhere.. you can even get one as an iPhone app. Here's my Typo Flip Clock ($20, reduced to $12).

And a small lampion lamp, that I dont know how it supposed to look like when I decided to buy it. I just know that it should be nice and its 30% off. Turns out it supposed to be a decoration lamp in a christmas tree or something.. well, maybe I should get a pole or a shelfing unit where i can twist it around. My sweet red-pink lampion ($20, reduced to $12).

My Jumbo Cup

Oh my, almost forgot the best part of my bday is....
....my bday present....
from my BF, and this is the best present so far hahahaha....

I've been going back to T2 - the tea shop - for 3times just to have a look at this cup and adore its cute and cleanliness..
the picture I got from T2 doesnt really show it,
but this is real cute =)

the cup is 0.4L in volume,
and it means thats its between one to two serve of normal cup..
One of my friend even told me that the cup is really huge, they called it jumbo glass cup, and i wont be able to finish my tea ever..
but i told her that if i really buy the cup, i will use it for every purpose..
i'll use it for drinking water, tea, coffee, orange juice, soda, or even milk..

i wanted to put the image here later on with each kind of drink that i drank from the cup..

Starting Something New is not EASY

I feel that I am a lucky girl,
Im not saying that I always get what I want,
but as what my mom always said,
and maybe as a true believer to God as well,
I feel that I always get the best for me..
and there's always a way for everything..

Just righ on time when I feel like Im not ready to live by myself,
*i mean financially*
i got the email asking if I can tutor the two class for the unit am teaching atm..
PS: I did not expect to get the class this semester at all, in fact I almost forgot that I applied for one, coincidence? =)

So, whats the problem?

There is not yet a problem actually,
but Im just too scared to start something new (*as always),
and I am at the moment doing something new in my life..

what is this something new?
Im helping my mom to conduct a new business for her,
from Melbourne,
while the business going to be basing in Semarang, Indonesia
and how can I help?
I wanted to make a website for her business,
but Im just not sure how it will went later on..
so?
atm, i feel the pain of fear for starting something new..
and it is not EASY, but possible..

Me and BF talked about his job and his boss, before we finally talked about how his boss use the "phonetic alphabet" when spelling a password or names or basicall anything that you need to spell..
We tried to figure every single aplhabet but cant manage to complete the A to Z,

Yesterday was my birthday, and I am officialy 22 now
not a bad number isnt it?

not bad for being 22 - finished Honours with the possibility of pHd scholarship from a well known univ like Monash
not bad for being 22 - having the most understanding and honest BF
not bad for being 22 - leaving in a nice apartment, close to city with lovely environment and housemates
not bad for being 22 - healthy body, no glasses needed; read: i can eat anythingggg
not bad for being 22 - helping my own life by tutoring in my univ
not bad for being 22 - i can still smile while writing this post =)

not bad for being a birthday girl all over again after a year,
