Cooking time~

Even if I have been a lazy student so far, at least I still got to learn something here..
Yup yup yup, cooking time~...

I bought this new slow cooker from KMart because:
ONE. it is on special, and
TWO. i got sick of looking to all of my housemate's yummy cooking using their slowcooker..
One thing for sure, you can make anything turn into a tender texture,
including meat, vegies, even beans..



Anyway, my first trial and error experiment is
"Baikut Sayur Asin - Pickled Mustard Soup"
taken from here

Method category: Soup/Stew (Rebus)
Ingredients/ Bahan:
1 lt Water (Air)
1 pack Pickled Mustard (sawi asin)
2 cloves Garlic.
500 gr Pork Ribs (Baikut Babi)
1 inch Ginger sliced (Jahe, iris)
2 tsp Salt (Garam)
1 tsp White Pepper (Merica)

Directions/Cara membuat:
English:
1. Wash the pickled mustard, and chopped.
2. Chopped the pork ribs per bone. Cook the ribs until cooked with water and all the spices.
3. Put in the pickled mustard and bring it to boil once again.

Indonesian:
1. Cuci sayur asin lalu potong2. Cuci dan potong2 daging baikut menurut ruas tulangnya.
2. Rebus baikut dengan air dan bumbu2 hingga matang.
3. Masukkan sayur asin lalu didihkan sekali lagi.

Oh my God, yes their slogant is so damn right.. Sometimes words are just not enough to explain the blossoms of love between the two in love couple..
Urgh.. I had a chit chat with my housemate just before, and we talked about photography.. Getting so excited until we talk about Axioo, one of the most popular wedding photographers ever..

My personal opinion,
they sell fresh ideas - instead of plain techniques;
a lil bit overprice - but who cares? happiness is worth a lot more than just money;

moo Business Cards

One of my teacher in uni showed me indirectly his business cards, and I noticed that it is not usual. I found out that his business cards is a double sided card, with one of the side containing his contact details and another one with pictureS.
Yes? Yes! Picturessss, he got different pictures printed on the back of his contact details. And in one set box of it, he probably got 4 or 5 different pictures.
I though that it must be really expensive for him to do that on his own. But i figured that its a "moo business cards".

Moo is a printing company who come up with this brilliant idea, where you get to print ur business card double sided with pictures on one side (personalized pictures; couple of those), and your contact details on the other side. You can use your own pictures by uploading it through the website or just use their broad selection of pictures taken from their designers.

They do international shipping (geez i hate when everything has to be from US), and dont you worry about the quality, from what i've seen, their quality is above standards and yes, the paper is thick, nice and promising. Those are things that your business cards should looks like.

Btw, they are not only doing business cards but also greeting cards and stuff. And if im not wrong, every order comes with a moo card holder for free? lets see, i might get some for myself, =)

Clayton railway stabbing victim

It happen yesterday and now I got all paranoid about going back alone at night or daytime. Geez this is not robbery or stuff anymore, this is murder. aaaaa I want to move to city ASAP, please....

The victim of yesterday's fatal stabbing outside Clayton railway station has been identified as police continue their hunt for his killer.

Horrified commuters watched the young man die just metres from the station entrance after the brazen peak-hour stabbing about 8am.

Police identified the victim this morning but refused to comment further until his next of kin was informed....

My Bucket List ~ 100 Things To Do Before U Die

I went out with some new friends last night, and turns out that they all have GREAT AWESOME WONDERFUL SPECTACULAR life (whatever words might not be enough)...
There were 8 of us, which were 3couples (including me) and 2 more boys..

Here what they have done that makes me jealous..
1. Trisha and Edgar (my fave, haha~), they had some backpacking experience all around south east Asia and their story about India was awesome. As Indonesian, it is not so common to do backpacking, but now I would LOVE to. Btw, Edgar played violin and Trisha doing education course.
2. Dilshan and Julie, Dilshan is a Karate coach or something, and if Im not wrong, he got a black belt already (which suppose to be the highest level, I believe). Julie herself is doing accounting while having a fashion shop (Im not sure but she is a really nice person)
3. Neil, he comes from India and moved to Australia since he was 12. He got his residency already (which I would love to have one by now) and funny story about him is that he got food poisoning when he went back to India for a trip. He was shocked by the life Indian people live back then. Interesting uh?
4. Liam, got a girl friend in China and he is now in a long distance relationship. He looks quiet but he is nice and played quite well on bowling that night.

Anyway, I feel like I'm being left out in this fun challenging world, and I have wasted a lot of my time on nothing.. darn it!
So, just to keep me on track for future references, and to make me feel better atm, I wanted to make a bucket list on my own; you know, the list of things you want to do before u kick the bucket (death).. But then I got stucked..!
I then decided to get this list and edit some here and there.
and it sounds perfect for now.. =))

IELTS Band Scores

I just realized that suddenly a lot of my friends are taking IELTS.
Reasons might be different, but now they kind of getting annoyed with the fact that some of us have to retake the test again and again before they can pass.
This is because of the new rules from immigration.
Since most of us are graduating real soon, and some did from last semester, we need to take IELTS in order for us to get our PR application processed.

And guess whats the score that we need?
7 it is, with no band below 7 and overall band 7.
Quite though is it?
Indeed for most of us, yes! Even 6 is not that easy either I found out.
It is ironic since we've lived here in Australia for more than 3years at least, and yet band score 7 is a "good user" (based on the band scores expectation description).
I feel so lucky for passing the IELTS already, but just to inform, I pass that requirement on my 2nd test (*damn it). Still not bad compare to those who need to do it over timesSS.

Well, this is what I got from the official IELTS website. Hope it might help.

There is no pass or fail in IELTS. Candidates are graded on their performance, using scores from 1 to 9 for each part of the test – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The results from the four parts then produce an Overall Band Score.

The Big Day - 10.04.2010

Finally,
the day has come..
the main reason for me to go back
"Holly's sweet 17th party - 10042010"

Our prayers:
1. no rain
2. cool mild weather
3. fun environment
4. happy family
5. succesfull party
and its all done...

The party should be started from 6pm,
but we decided to wait until 6.45pm,
when the time said so, there were not enough guests to start,
things were not as expected..

My lil sis was inside worried about her party ruined by not enough guests,
and mom got panicked also..
I know there is a surprise for Holly,
but It is before I decided to went down stairs, trying to see if there's more people coming to the party before we really start,
and I found out,
there were bunch of them waiting downstairs, wanting to give Holly surprises..

Here is the plan:
Wait downstairs and let Holly get upset by not enough guess,
Get her to do the cake ceremonial,
and just when she about to do so,
theyll come and surprise her with a big happy birthday song to be sang,
with candles to be lightened
and a scrap book prepared by them..
there were 16 or 17 of them, i can not recall..

and even though there were many things going wrong,
but on the top of all,
she is happy,
and also her friends,
ceremonial was done very nicely,
and she cant stop from smiling =)

that was one night,
where I can see how she can keep that smile on her face the longest ever,
haha..
it is a compliment really..
my 7hours trip was paid knowing that everybody is happy there..

Fish Spa with Gara Rufa

Today, life is good.
I love planning, i love being organized, i love time scheduling.
hm.. i guess im quite a freak on time management haha

So, todays plan:
1. go to gas station
2. final dress fitting
3. F.I.S.H spa
4. grab the jewelry for tomorrow
5. grab the souvenirs
6. buy some matching white shoes
7. manicure and padicure

From the list, my favorite one is the FISH spa,
im so enjoying that moment with me, my mom and Holly (the bday girl, yay..)
My brother was there too, but he decided to get some shiatsu instead.
Hm lets say he is not into girls talk.

Anyway,
first time we need to get our feet cleaned,
you can always grab some shorts which they provide to make it easier for you when u do the fish spa,
but mom never like "public sharing" properties,
she insist to keep her long pants on, and tried really hard to fold it up high..

then, we get to sit on a chair where someone can wash our feet..
im not so comfortable with the fact that my feet being washed as if im a queen to worship or something,
but seems like everybody have it done to them there,
so after that, the three of us get into a pool where we can sit and let our feet being "eaten" by the fish.. hahaha

let me tell u something,
it gives u a tickling sensation at first,
and the more dead skin u got, the more fish will come to ur feet,
and the more u got tickled by it..
mom even screamed once and got some "ssshuusshhh" by the other customers hahaha

anyway, the fish called "Gara rufa" or "Doctor fish"
they originally comes from Middle East countries like Turki and Syria,
the spa staff said the fish used for fish spa are those with maximum 2 - 4cm length only,
once it gets bigger, they are not recommended for fish spa anymore,
but the biggest size they can get is only 12cm..
by having fish spa, u might get ur dead skin off so that the younger skin can appear..

life is not so good lately

i am in indonesia, and bandung to be exact.
So far my plan has going just fine, except that my feeling is not at the very best place at all.

In short,
Everything is ruined by stupidity,
I got in a fight with my bf and i hate it

Seems like we r not going with the same perspective about our life anymore,
Can someone change in days?
It is not even a week from the last time we were tgthr.
I know its different when we used to get together all the time,

But is that good enough as a reason for us to be so sensitive towards each other?
