How can someone cheat on others like that?

I recently bought some stuff through ebay.
We met up to finalise the transaction the day after.
He handed me the goods and i transferred him the money.
I talked to G on the way back that this guy, the seller, seems nice and trust worthy..
We even agreed that he looks like an honest and very helpful..

Until..
couple days after, we found out that the goods has a lot of faulty in it..
tried to text the guy back, and even called many many many times..
no answer.. no nothing..
number was always busy or simply not picking up..
found out today that he knew about the issue since around 2 weeks ago..

well, the joke is on me now..
so much for being proud of "good at judging people"
i guess you should never ever ever judge the book by its cover...
!!
