The London Olympic 2012 - Cola Baked Chicken
So, this year Olympic game will be located in London (doh,, who doesnt know?) and opening ceremony will be on Saturday 6am AUS time..
We got this crazy idea of watching the ceremony while eating a prepared chicken wings from the night before..
We got this idea from watching Matt Preston on Master Chef master class session last time.. He made this sooo easy - American style - cola baked chicken, and it made me salivate...
I made some sticky chicken wings not so long ago for G, and he loveddd it.. but i was using sweet soy sauce and honey instead of cola (healthy me ey?).. so.. lets see how it goes next Saturday, shall we?
=)
All recipe and picture are from MasterChef official website.

Sweet Butter Cookies a.k.a. Lidah Kucing
I dont know whats happening to me, but i've been baking quite a bit lately..
and amazingly, spontaneously as well..
This one came to mind just when i got upset looking at the inside of the fridge with so much leftover butter, cream or butter milk from last time baking..Suddenly remember about this easy to made and definitely good idea to get rid of that small bits of leftover butter in the fridge..
Anyways, it taste fan.tas.tic... and am loving it..
I did different shape not because i want to do it that way, but more cause i dont know how to cut it without any cookie cutter at first..
and some of em has a slightly pale colour cause i was not sure which one will G love more, crisp or soft ones..
so here we go.. not bad for first timer i guess =)
Recipe
Ingredients:
100 gr Plain flour
100 gr Margarine
100 gr Caster Sugar
2 pcs Egg's white
1. Mix the margarine and sugar well
2. Add the flour and stir till mixed all along
3. Beat the egg's white till it becomes a stiff foam.
4. Add half the egg into the flour's mix, stir, then add the other half, stir again.
5. Bake in 160-180 degrees until it spread and turn golden brown.
First time the bake result is soft but it will become stiff like a biscuit when it cooled down.
and amazingly, spontaneously as well..

Cooking time~
Even if I have been a lazy student so far, at least I still got to learn something here..
Yup yup yup, cooking time~...
I bought this new slow cooker from KMart because:
ONE. it is on special, and
TWO. i got sick of looking to all of my housemate's yummy cooking using their slowcooker..
One thing for sure, you can make anything turn into a tender texture,
including meat, vegies, even beans..

Anyway, my first trial and error experiment is
"Baikut Sayur Asin - Pickled Mustard Soup"
taken from here
Method category: Soup/Stew (Rebus)
Ingredients/ Bahan:
1 lt Water (Air)
1 pack Pickled Mustard (sawi asin)
2 cloves Garlic.
500 gr Pork Ribs (Baikut Babi)
1 inch Ginger sliced (Jahe, iris)
2 tsp Salt (Garam)
1 tsp White Pepper (Merica)
Directions/Cara membuat:
English:
1. Wash the pickled mustard, and chopped.
2. Chopped the pork ribs per bone. Cook the ribs until cooked with water and all the spices.
3. Put in the pickled mustard and bring it to boil once again.
Indonesian:
1. Cuci sayur asin lalu potong2. Cuci dan potong2 daging baikut menurut ruas tulangnya.
2. Rebus baikut dengan air dan bumbu2 hingga matang.
3. Masukkan sayur asin lalu didihkan sekali lagi.
