The French Brasserie - Fine Dining

A friend of mine who apparently got addicted to "high-end life style" a lil bit too much (*I said this knowing none of us are working atm), have succesfully persuaded me and my friends to go and have again, an apparently what so called "fine"-dining at The French Brasserie.

Not that this is the first time he asked us to go to this kind of restaurants, but the way he invited us all always trigger something inside me. So I google it and try to find reviews of the restaurant.
So, this is what I got..

The French Brasserie
* 2 Malthouse La
* Melbourne 3000 VIC
* Phone: (03) 9662 1632

The French Brasserie has taken over the lease of the place where The Italian left off to move to a larger location. There is no doubt of the authenticity of the restaurant, where Hadj Sadki a French-born restaurateur teamed up with Frederic Naud, a French chef.

Based on the reviews, French Brasserie offers a relaxing sanctuary at the top-end of town. Soaring ceilings and vast glass expanses achieve a chic contemporary atmosphere. Internationally renowned chief, Frederic Naud previously of Le Cirque New York creates everything in house, producing innovative, modern French cuisine (*bestrestaurants.com.au).

An interesting fact:
There is a scene from Wall Street, where Michael Douglas is sitting at a famous restaurant near his office block.
Yes yes, the restaurant's chef on that scene is the very same that works here at the French Brasserie. His motto is simple: good food and good service at an affordable price and the venue delivers on all accounts.

Menu:
haha i wont ruin the fun for tomorrow night, so I decided not to go through their menu (*even though it is available from their website) until tomorrow..
So, will update again later~ ciao

We Are the World - 25 for Haiti

I know it might be a little too late, but i guess it is better than nothing at all..
January 12, 2010, Haiti was strucked by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake. There are over 230,000 civilians which have been confirmed dead and around 300,000 have been injured. Approximately 1.2 million people are homeless and it has been reported that the lack of temporary shelter may lead to the outbreak of disease.

Over 75 musicians gathered to create the new version of "We Are the World" song, originally written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, on February 1, 2010. They called it "We Are the World 25 for Haiti". In the video, original archive material from 1985 of Michael Jackson is used.

If you feel like sharing some love to others, please do so..

O.P.I rocks!

this is Saturday, and I got no plans up till now,
just one of those random days where life seems so plain yet beautiful in its own way =)

and then best friend of mine here in Melbourne asked me if I would like to get some OPI nail polish in such a bargain..
she found it from ebay and if you buy up to 10 nail polishes, you can get it for only $10 each.. interesting? yes it is!

so i jumped to OPI official sites and start choosing the colors that I love..

this is the list of the colors that I decided to buy..
PS: my preferences based on what I believe; that this year color trend is purple =)

go try on their website for ur own skintone matching interface here O.P.I

cause we're just ordinary people~

Ordinary People
by John Legend

Girl I'm in love with you
This aint the honeymoon
Past the infatuation phase
Right in the thick of love
Sometimes we get sick of love
It seems like we argue everyday

I know I misbehaved
And you made your mistakes
And we both still got room left to grow
And though love sometimes hurts
I still put you first
And we'll make this thing work
But I think we should take it slow

We're just ordinary people
We dont know which way to go
Cause we're ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow
Take it slow [oh, oh, ohhh]
This time we'll take it slow
Take it slow [oh, oh, ohhh]
This time we'll take it slow

This aint a movie, no
No fairy tale conclusion yall
It gets more confusing everyday
Sometimes its heaven sent, then,
We head back to hell again
We kiss and we make up on the way....

I hang up, you call
We rise and we fall
And we feel like just walkin away
As our love advances
We take second chances
Though its not a fantasy
I still want you to stay!

Were just ordinary people
We dont know which way to go
Cause were ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow
Take it slow [oh, oh, ohhh]
This time well take it slow
Take it slow! [oh, oh, ohhh]
This time we'll take it slow

Take it slow!
Maybe we'll live and learn
Maybe we'll crash and burn!
Maybe you'll stay
Maybe you'll leave
Maybe you'll return!
Maybe another fight
Maybe we wont survive
But maybe we'll grow
We never know baby you and I!

We're just ordinary people
We dont know which way to go [yeah]
Hey, cause we're ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow
Hey, hey! [Violins]
We're just ordinary people
We dont know which way to go
Cause we're ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow
Take it slow [oh, oh, ohhh]
This time we'll take it slow
Take it slow [oh, oh, ohhh]
This time we'll take it slow
Take it slow...slow
This time we'll take it slow
Take it slow [oh, oh, ohhh]
This time...we'll take...it slow.
